A Remodel is the Perfect Time for a Staycation!
Living in your home during a remodel can be difficult, especially if you are typically at the home during the day when the remodel team will be at work. A remodel is loud and messy. You’ll likely lose access to your room, which can be very inconvenient in the case of kitchens and bathrooms.
Why not take the opportunity to enjoy a staycation during your remodel? A staycation means enjoying a vacation in your home town. Consider renting a vacation home or condo in your home town (especially if you can’t live without a kitchen) and then exploring your area. Too often, we are so used to living in our town that we never make an effort to see its most famous sites. Is there a beautiful natural park nearby that you’ve never visited? What about the local museums or zoo? How about going on a historical tour and learning about the town’s ancestors?
The beauty of the staycation is that you can stay close enough to the area to keep an eye on your remodel and to drop by your home if your remodeling company wants you to approve a finish or to review the progress.
